Second Alpha created a Strategic Advisory Board comprised of successful industry executives experienced in building and exiting Technology, Media and Telecommunications companies in order to advise Second Alpha Partners on matters including but not limited to investments, portfolio management, deal sourcing, and fundraising. The Strategic Advisory Board meets on a quarterly basis and currently consists of Ian Bonner, Jaime Ellertson and Edward Fields.
Adam Greene, Senior Advisor
Adam Greene is a Senior Advisor at Second Alpha. He has extensive experience as a VC, senior investment banker and corporate advisor. Adam served on the board of Sportvision (acquired by SportsMEDIA Technology), Sixth Sense Media (acquired by Evolving Systems) and SeaPass (acquired Internet Capital Group).
Jaime Ellertson, Advisor
Jaime Ellertson is a member of Second Alpha’s Strategic Advisory Board. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Everbridge and a non-executive Director of Qvidian. Previously, Jaime was founder, Chairman and CEO of CloudFloor (acquired by Everbridge); CEO and President, Gomez (acquired by Compuware Corporation in one of the largest venture backed exits of 2009); CEO, President and Director of S1 Corporation (NASD: SONE); SVP – Strategy and Business Development, Broadvision (NASD: BVSN); and CEO and President, Interleaf (NASD: LEAF, subsequently acquired by BroadVision).
Ian Bonner, Advisor
Ian Bonner is a member of Second Alpha’s Strategic Advisory Board. He is currently the CEO of William Morris Endeavor Analytics. Previously, Ian was CEO, Attensity Group; CEO, Coldspark (acquired by Bakbone); Chairman, ITKO (acquired by CA); CEO and President, Xerox-PARC spinout Inxight Software (acquired by Business Objects); CEO, Sistina Software (acquired by Red Hat); CEO and President, Terraspring (acquired by Sun Microsystems); VP-Software Channels and Executive Board Member, IBM; and SVP of Sales and Marketing, Crosstalk Communications (acquired by DCA).
Edward Fields, Advisor
Edward Fields is a member of Second Alpha’s Strategic Advisory Board. He is currently Chairman of HotChalk, a Second Alpha portfolio company. Edward Fields has more than 20 years of experience developing and marketing educational technology and enterprise software solutions. Prior to founding HotChalk, Edward served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Agile Software Corporation, President and CEO of ProductFactory, Inc. (a software firm he co-founded that was acquired by Agile Software in 2003), and Director of Interactive Publishing at The Learning Company. Edward has a bachelor’s in Mass Communications from the University of Denver.
